Shoulder Pain Definition and reason of disorder

Shoulder is a complex part of the body compose of muscle, tendon, ligament, and bursa to allow a wide and versatile range of motion in the arm from scratching your back until throwing the perfect pitch. Moreover shoulder is connected with other joint around shoulder (7 joint- call Shoulder complex) and other part of the body that is a neck and upper back by muscle and tendon so when you have a pain at shoulder, it will happen at your neck and upper back. In the other hand if you have a neck or upper back pain, it can happen at your shoulder also.

Shoulder Pain – Causes

Shoulder is really several joints that combine a lot of composition for stabilization. In this reason it may lead to increasing problems with Tendinitis, Shoulder impingement syndrome, Bursitis, Frozen shoulder, Rotator cuff tear and etc.
Most shoulder pain is caused by sports, strenuous exercise, heavy weight lifting or including with repetitive movement –overhead lifting, working with computer or housework.

Shoulder Pain – Symptoms

Shoulder pain or injury include general neck pain, loss of shoulder strength, a visible bump above the shoulder, and a shoulder popping sound when one moves. The location of the pain varies based on the specific joint affected for example if the Glenohumeral joint is affected, the pain will be in the center of the shoulder but pain in the Acromioclavicular joint (ACJ) is felt on the top of the shoulder most times and pain at the right side of the neck or left side can occur as well. So symptom and pain area of shoulder joint is various that depend on disease.
